Submit your photos to Visit Wynnum Manly

Got a great photo of Wynnum, Manly, Lota, Moreton Bay or the surrounds?

Visit Wynnum Manly is building a library of local photography that captures what it feels like to spend time in our part of Brisbane Bayside – and we’d love to see what you’ve captured.

Professional and emerging photographers are welcome to submit images throughout the year for consideration across Visit Wynnum Manly marketing.

You don’t need to photograph something specifically for us. If you already have beautiful local images sitting in your archive, send them our way.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for photography that helps people imagine themselves here.

That might include:

• Wynnum and Manly waterfront
• dining, cafés and local hospitality
• boutique shopping and local businesses
• markets, festivals and events
• boating, marinas and life on the water
• walking, cycling and outdoor activities
• families and friends enjoying the area
• parks, foreshore and natural spaces
• local landmarks and recognisable locations
• aerial and drone photography
• the smaller moments that capture the personality of Wynnum and Manly

We’re particularly interested in images that show people experiencing the destination, rather than simply documenting a location.

Payment for selected images

We value photography and the creative skill that goes into capturing strong local images.

For the annual Visit Wynnum Manly Guide, selected images may be paid at the following rates:

• Front cover image: $350
• Internal hero tourism image: $80

Other image use, commissioned shoots or special photography requests may be discussed separately.

If your submitted image is selected for paid use, we’ll contact you to confirm usage, payment and any additional requirements before publication.

Image requirements

At the first submission stage, you don’t need to send large high-resolution files unless requested.

For print use, images must be high quality and suitable for professional production.

Preferred specifications are:

• High resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
• Portrait orientation preferred for the cover image
• Can be either Portrait or Landscape orientation for hero images JPEG format
• Natural colour grading (avoid heavy filters)
• We print on uncoated matt paper, not gloss, please keep this in mind when taking photos
• No watermarks or logos
• Drone imagery is welcome where legally captured.

People, children and permissions

If your photo includes identifiable people, please make sure you have their permission before submitting the image.

If your photo includes children, we will require signed parental or guardian permission before the image can be used.

This is really important. We want to celebrate the area properly, but never at the expense of someone’s privacy or comfort.

Drone photography

Drone photography is welcome, provided it has been captured safely and legally.

By submitting drone images, you confirm that the image was taken in line with all relevant rules, permissions and safety requirements.

What happens after you submit

Once you submit your photos, our team will review them for possible use.

We may contact you if:

• we’d like to request a high-resolution file
• we’re interested in using your image in the Guide, website or other Visit Wynnum Manly material
• we’d like to discuss payment or usage
• we have a specific photography opportunity that may suit your style

You may not hear from us straight away, but your submission will stay on file for future consideration.

Annual Guide timing

Photography submissions are welcome throughout the year.

For images to be considered for the next Visit Wynnum Manly Guide, please submit relevant photos by 15 October each year.

Images submitted after this date may still be considered for the website, social media or future editions of the Guide.
